MATCHROOM Bets has come up trumps again with a successful tip in the European Open at the London Club over the weekend.
Our expert Sam Pigott, who commentates on the Ivobank PGA EuroPro Tour and is a former professional himself, tipped Ross Fisher (pictured) to win the prestigious event.
With a prediction that would have made Mystic Meg proud, Pigott said: "The man who tames the inland links at the London Club for this year’s European Open, will have to hit it long and really produce a master class of putting.
"With the relatively flat greens low scoring will be inevitable – a winning score of 20 under or even less is a possibility and it might just come down to a putting competition and whose wand is better than the other.
"Ross
Fisher (70/1 - Boylesports) hits the ball a country mile and won his first tournament last year – really strong tee to green which could be the key here."
Pigott's prediction proved spot on as Fisher stormed to victory by seven shots and his winning score was... 20 under!
