Vacant British super-featherweight belt on the line
THE vacant British Super-Featherweight Championship is on the line in Matchroom Sport's next boxing show.
Coming from the Huddersfield Sports Centre, the main event features Dewsbury's Gary Sykes battle Manchester's Andy Morris.
Sykes, 26, is undefeated from his 14 contests and finally gets a shot at the belt after beating Anthony Crolla in a title eliminator back in May.
However, he faces a tough challenge as his opponent is 26-year-old Andy Morris, a former British belt holder at featherweight.
Morris, who steps into the fight as a late replacement for Ricky Burns, has beaten current Commonwealth Featherweight Champion John Simpson and is the only man to have defeated Rendall Monroe, the reigning European Super-Bantamweight Champion.
The undercard includes highly-rated undefeated heavyweight Tyson Fury. Fury won the English title in September and has an impressive record of nine victories, with seven of those successes coming inside the distance.
Prizefighter Lightweight Champion Ryan Brawley is also in action and will look to extend his undefeated run which extends to 15 professional contests.
Also in action will be Tyrone Nurse (light-welterweight), Johnny Rocco (light-welterweight), Carl Frampton (super-bantamweight), Alistair Warren (middleweight), Jamie McKeever (super-featherweight), Josh Warrington (super-bantamweight) and Danny Randell (light-welterweight).
